BLOOMS TAXONOMY
BLOOM’S TAXONOMY OF EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES
§
In 1956 by Benjamin Bloom.
In 1956 by Benjamin Bloom.
§ Taxonomy
of educational objectives is intended to provide for classification of the
goals of our educational system. It is expected to help in discussion of
curricular and evaluation problems with greater precision
§ Bloom's taxonomy is a set of three hierarchical models used to
classify educational learning objectives into levels of complexity and
specificity. The three lists cover the learning objectives in cognitive,
affective and sensory domains. Within
each domain they arranged the sequence of development of mental abilities in a
logical and psychological order.
WHAT ARE INSTRUCTIONAL OBJECTIVES?
All aspects of instruction are based on certain goals or objectives.
All instruction will result in learning which in turn bring
about changes in the behaviour of learners. so by instructional objectives we
mean the anticipated behavior changes ,that is what the teachers expect as a
result of their teaching .
Therefore, an objective is a level of mental growth ,which
the teacher expects his/her students to reach, by being exposed to learning
activities .
